ICM Membership criteria
Everyone joining the Institute must adhere to our Ethical Code.
Detailed below is the grading for your information.
Affiliate Membership (a membership grade with no entry requirements)
- For those studying for ICM qualifications
- For those working in the credit or related industries
Associate Membership (designatory letters AICM)
- For those who have passed the ICM level 3 Certificate in Credit Management
- For those who have a relevant and recognised qualification together with 2 years credit employment experience.
Membership (designatory letters MICM(Grad) or MICM)
- MICM(Grad): for those who have passed the ICM level 5 Diploma in Credit Management or the TVU Foundation Degree in Credit Management.
- MICM: for those who can demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' experience at management level in the credit profession. See Vocational Membership criteria.
Fellowship (designatory letters FICM)
- For those existing MICM and MICM(Grad)s who have the held designatory letters for a minimum of 5 years and who meet the current Fellowship criteria.
Overseas applicants
Please note you are only able to pay by direct debit if you send us a signed hard copy of your application with instructions to pay from a UK Bank Account. Otherwise payment needs to be made by credit card.
