The Institute of Credit Management (ICM) has announced details of its new ICM British Credit Awards, fulfilling its promise to return with a bigger and better awards programme that better recognise and reward excellence in the credit industry.
With a date set for February 6, 2013, and the venue confirmed as the prestigious Hilton Park Lane Hotel in London, the ICM British Credit Awards combine new categories with the most popular awards from previous ICM events. The well-established Sir Roger Cork prize and credit professional of the year award, for example, have been joined by new awards such as the debt collection agency of the year and best use of credit technology.
Philip King, Chief Executive of the ICM, says that the aim is for individuals and companies to see success at the awards as the benchmark by which the profession is judged: "It was important in re-launching our awards that they embraced the wider credit community," he says.
"By broadening the awards categories, we wanted to more accurately highlight, recognise and acknowledge the best in credit, from the remarkable achievements of companies and individuals through to the exciting success of specific disciplines such as risk management and fraud prevention."
The awards, held in partnership with Jobs in Credit and Incisive Media, will be judged by a distinguished panel of senior credit professionals in December and presented at a gala dinner and awards evening. "The presentation evening will be a spectacular occasion and the winners will enjoy extensive publicity and widespread recognition for their achievements," says Simone Broadhurst, Events Director.
