This branch covers a huge geographical area, embracing towns and cities quite far apart - from Hastings to Guildford and Chichester to Croydon. We have about 375 members - about one-third are students. Being London commuting territory, many of our members   work out of our branch area - or vice versa.

We put much effort into making our meetings varied and interesting, combining our professional matters into a wide range of business and social topics. Meetings are held within a short distance of the M23/A23/A24 corridor used to move quickly North/South,  and, for East/West travel, connecting easily with the A27 along the South Coast and the M25 along the Northern boundary . Sometimes we meet in the middle!  We are always very happy to see members from our neighbouring branches (they are included in the circulation of our meeting notices).  Attendance levels at our meetings are among the best of all branches.

We plan our Branch meetings as opportunities to network with and learn from fellow professionals, to improve one's own professional competence and to "put back" into the profession that provides our livelihoods.  If you have not been to a meeting recently, please do come to our next.  (see our Forthcoming Events page)

The Institute (ICM) is a charity, so social events need to be self-funding but where there is educational content, we provide refreshments for members and guests, as we appreciate that people often come directly from their workplace. Members are at first attached to a branch according to their home address and you can ask the Water Mill to change if you would find another more useful, but, as all charities, the ICM exists for the public generally  and thus anyone is welcome at any Institute meeting - please bring interested friends, colleagues and partners.

Please come also to our AGM, usually about early February, when you have the opportunity to influence the way in which your branch is run. We conclude the business swiftly and the meeting becomes a "normal" meeting.

We look forward to seeing you at a meeting soon. Meanwhile, a committee member is only a 'phone call or an e-mail away.
